Christian Men's Fellowship (CMF)
All men are encouraged to get involved in one
or more of these activities. The rewards of fellowship
and love are treasures that last a lifetime.
Monthly Breakfast
On the first Saturday of the month, CMF meets for a "Dutch Treat" breakfast. There is a guest
speaker at each meeting. It is a great time for fellowship and
discussions.
Special Event
A Special Event Cookout will be held during the year. Information on
an exact date will be provided as it is planned during the year.
This is a fun fellowship event for the men at First Christian Church.
Men's Bible Study
A Men’s Bible Study is held each Thursday morning from
7:00 to 8:15 a.m. at the church. Coffee and donuts are provided.
Men are welcome to attend even if only for a portion of the meeting
time.
Men's Softball
The church has a Men's Softball Team. The team is coached by Jack
Cline and Don Timm. We play at Green Valley Park in Moline on Tuesday
night's from April through August. The team is open to all men over
the age of 18. Our team consists of men of all ages with the youngest
being 18 and the oldest 64. We have a lot of fun, topped off each
year by a gathering at Coach Cline's house to reflect on the past
season. To join us, contact Jack Cline through the church office.
Men's Bowling
The church sponsors a Men's Bowling Team in the Thursday Night Moline
Church League. We bowl at Highland Park Bowl in Moline. We
go out for coffee and dessert after bowling each week for fellowship.
Men's Mission
Our Mission support to send our Youth to Summer Camp this year will
be led by Glen Smith, who will work jointly with the youth group
leaders in planning activities for raising funds to help offset the
cost of attending camp.
Annual Fishing Trip
The men have an annual fishing trip to Lake Michigan to fish for
salmon and trout. The two day outing consists of dinner, an
overnight stay, and fishing the next day on Lake Michigan. For
more information, contact Terry Jackson through the church office.
Care Bears
The Care Bears are a group of volunteers who help church members in
their time of need. Moving furniture out of a flooded basement,
washing some windows for an elderly member, or fixing a leaking
faucet for a disabled member are just a few examples of the Care
Bears' mission. For more information about the Care Bears, contact
Don Allen through the church office.
